Tornadoes, storms, hurricanes, high winds or it may simply be incredible damage to your home. Each turbine has impressed the images of devastated houses and roofs and trees crashing to see through walls, but sometimes the damage is much more subtle. In the absence of gravel or loose, did a channel from the house, or a broken seal around a window or opening can allow water into the house causing damage over time.
Building a house is fairly simple, but each element plays a role. The water flows through the tiles into the gutter, leading to land and outside the structure. The joints around openings such as windows, doors and prevent rain from entering your home. If any part of this system fails because of the wind, the water begins to leak out and start taking their toll. And endanger the integrity of your home.
The damage can be subtle and imperceptible at first sight. Water can run inside the walls and accumulate in the wood underneath and behind walls. Leaks in the roof can cause the rain to enter and accumulate in the attic slowly seeps through the insulation and drywall. Over time this will cause wood rot and mold growth and ultimately to major structural damage. Over time, a visible sign, like a blood stain on the ceiling, the more damage may have occurred already.
Once the problems of water and wind are identified, it takes a trained professional to assess the damage and quickly to create a cure. Walls and ceilings must be broken to reveal the damaged areas. Dehumidifiers and fans may be necessary to put in wetlands dry. Special skills and tools necessary to remove mold, which can persist for years and cause health problems in the family and pets.
After each storm, unusually heavy rains or high winds, you should have a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of your home. Check the attic for leaks or signs of moisture. Check out the channels, eaves and window to the problems generated by the wind. If in doubt, now is the time in a professional, what to look for and how to prevent future damage to be done.
